Temple of Art – Masterpieces of the Ancient World at the Altes Museum. (Guided Tour in English)

With its monumental facade of columns, the Altes Museum already has the look of a temple. This tour will give insights into the architectural history of the museum – which was the first to open on the Museumsinsel, in 1830 – as well as introducing visitors to a selection of objects from the Antikensammlung (Collection of Classical Antiquities), whose holdings contain artworks from Ancient Greece to Imperial Rome.Tickets can be reserved online and on the day from the museum ticket desk. Spaces are limited.
