Since a few days, financial markets are globally in turmoil. Central banks and governments are dealing with the unfolding crisis on a daily basis with seemingly unprecedented measures. Do we see a replay of the financial crisis of 2008? What is different today, and what should we expect for the coming weeks? Adam Tooze is professor of History at Columbia University and serves as Director of the European Institute. He is the author of the best-selling book “Crashed: How a decade of financial crises changed the world”. In this online-event, Adam will be talking with Gerhard Schick, CEO of Bürgerbewegung Finanzwende, former member of the German Bundestag, and widely recognised expert on financial markets.
